Neurological Conditions:
Neurological conditions are developed when there is any sort of injury to the brain. This may happen during a traumatic brain injury, due to other existing conditions or during birth. Some of these conditions are strokes, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis. Parkinson, Motor neuron diseases etc.
Orthopaedic conditions / musculoskeletal conditions
Orthopaedic conditions/ musculoskeletal conditions causing pain and stiffness. Treatment will include spinal manipulations, myofacial release and exercises. TheraBand’s and other equipment are given for home exercises. Patients will require rehabilitation for fractures, amputations, dislocations and weakness etc.
Age- related conditions:

Treatment is done on older people to make them more independent and pain-free. It is important for older people to be able to perform all ADLs safely.
Spinal cord injuries:
Spinal cord injuries are when there is a lesion in the spinal cord. Lesions may be complete or incomplete. This can be due to an accident, cancer of the spinal etc. This condition will may not affect your cognitive ability if the brain is not affected. Spinal cord injuries may include weakness and poor sensation in the limbs. Spinal cord injured patients are treated on bobath beds and mats to ensure a beneficial treatment. Treatment will focus on body strength and movement for independence.
pre-and post- operative conditions:
Pre- operative treatment helps the patient to keep their body stronger, allow the body to tolerate surgery and allow for post treatment to be easier, quicker and with decreased pain. Post- operative treatment will aim at getting the patient back to their premorbid condition.
Respiratory conditions:
Respiratory conditions are essential treatments. Conditions include pneumonia, asthma, bronchitis, empyema etc. Acute and chronic chest conditions are treated. Treatment will include manual techniques such as percussions, vibrations, and shaking. Deep breathing exercises, active cycle of breathing and nebulization depending on the condition and treatment required. This allows for increased air entry into the lungs making it easier to breath.
Paediatrics:
Children with developmental challenges are also treated at the practice.
